GRECIA por un periodo de 6 meses, empezará del 1 JUNIO
El SVE es una acción del programa
Juventud en Acción que cubre 90% de los gastos de Desplazamiento, y el 100% del
alojamiento, comida, formación lingüística, transporte local...

DEL PROYECTO
Thessaloniki is a beautiful
city with great history that spans centuries. During the Byzantine years
Thessaloniki was an important centre of Culture. There are many places that
will engage your interest as well as museums and remarkable Byzantine churches.
A walk in Thessaloniki will amaze you and you have the opportunity to discover
hidden aspects of the city. Thessaloniki, also known as Thessalonica or
Salonika, is the second-largest city in Greece and the capital of the region of
Central Macedonia as well as the capital of the Decentralized Administration of
Macedonia and Thrace. Its honorific title is Συμπρωτεύουσα (Symprotévusa).
Thessaloniki is not only
regarded as the cultural and entertainment capital of northern Greece but also
the cultural capital of the country. Thessaloniki is Greece's second major
economic, industrial, commercial and political centre, and a major
transportation hub for the rest of south-eastern Europe; its commercial port is
also of great importance for Greece and the south-eastern European hinterland.
The city is renowned for its festivals, events and vibrant cultural life in
general, and is considered to be Greece's cultural capital
GEOLOLY
Thessaloniki lies on the
northern fringe of the Thermaic Gulf on its eastern coast and is bound by Mount
Chortiatis on its southeast. Its proximity to imposing mountain ranges, hills
and fault lines, especially towards its southeast have historically made the
city prone to geological changes.
CLIMATE
The city lies in a
transitional climatic zone, so its climate displays characteristics of
continental and Mediterranean climates. Winters are relatively dry, with common
morning frost. Snowfalls occur almost every year, but usually the snow does not
stay for more than a few days.
TRANSPORT
Public transport in
Thessaloniki is served by buses. The bus company operating in the city is the
Thessaloniki Urban Transport Organization (OASTH) and is the only public means
of transport in Thessaloniki at the moment.
-It mainly provides
opportunities, to those who are excluded from the formal education system as
well as the long-term unemployed people, to gain skills and join the community.
Volunteers have the opportunity to contribute to social solidarity and through
this to gain a sense of responsibility in the society.
-We will ensure the
participation of volunteers in the on-arrival training and mid-term evaluation
and will provide language training.
-The role of volunteers is to
support our work and our effort and through this process.
-Activities involving
volunteers are sorting clothing, footwear and other material goods and food for
needy families.
-Involvement of volunteers in
organizing events.
-Information on the actions
and work of the club at events.
-We are also going to support
volunteers who would like to act on their own initiative.
People from every educational
background with strong will and love for volunteering. There will always be
available communication with the sending Institution so that we can have as
much information as possible concerning the volunteer.
4 people
The place of residence and
workplace meets all safety standards. Before the arrival we will conduct the
volunteer and sending institution in order to confirm that when they arrive to
Greece they will have medical insurance covered by the Health Insurance
Company, AXA.
Each volunteer will also be
given a mobile device with a Greek phone number with the necessary terms and
conditions and the correct information. During the volunteer’s residence there
will be constant communication and support.
Motivation and EVS experience
Our association "Family
and Child" is a non-profit organization with the purpose of helping
families and children and young people in terms of economic, social and psychological
support. Every day, around the world people of all ages, especially those of
the weaker levels of society, have to face a harsh and alienated society are
simultaneously faced with over growing economic, social and psychological
problems.
Our aim is to raise awareness
of the contribution of each individual, institution, social organization, so
that business can be achieved to help those people who are in need.
Description of the
organisation
Our goal is the improvement
of living of the families standards in terms of economic, social and
psychological support.
Another social group that can
be benefited from our help is the homeless people. Due to the economic crisis
the number of homeless has increased. There are people with high education
qualifications who used to maintain adequate standard of living, without
psychological problems or addiction problems. However nowadays they have ended
up being unemployed and they cannot "make it".
We have created a support
program in order to gather food, clothes, toys, school supplies and medicines
to be donated to families and people that they are in need.

INFORMACION DEL PROYECTO
Lviv summer with a street coach” is a Spanish-Ukrainian group EVS
short-term project implemented by the A J Intercambia(Malaga, Spain) and Center
for Educational Initiatives (Lviv, Ukraine) with the support of municipality of
Lviv city and other actors.
In the frames of the project
Spanish EVS volunteers will spend 2 months in Lviv (01.08.- 30.09.2013)
running sport and leisure activities for local children and youth, esp. for
those socially disadvantaged from suburban areas. Together with local volunteers
they will provide street and park animation, street soccer tournaments and
similar activities and promote the idea of a common Europe through that. The
main aim of the project is to offer pupils who can't spend their holidays
outside of the city a valuable, interesting, active, healthy and safe way of
spending their free time, while preventing them from falling into addiction or
crime.
Such a model programme has been successfully implemented for few
years in Poland and our ambition is to transfer best practice and tools from it
to Lviv city where it can also serve the local society. Teams of volunteers will
also provide documentation of the event and make interviews with local youth and
adults about healthy style of life and outside sport activities in
Ukraine.
The outcome of the project will be a publication and an internet site
describing the idea and principles of the programme, as well as summarizing
different methods which can be used by a coach during the
activities.
